Registration starts for EPICENTER: Moscow international Dota 2 esports tournament open qualifiers!

Registration has started for the open qualifiers of the largest esports even in the CIS, the EPICENTER: Moscow Dota 2 tournament. The first open qualifier begins April 21 and ends on the 23 rd ; the second one will follow from April 30 to May 2. Teams from the CIS, the Americas, and South-East Asia will compete in the first qualifier; Europe-based squads will replace the CIS ones in the second. An open qualifier will also be held in China. The best team from each region will advance to the next stage of the tournament.

Confirmation of participation in the open qualifiers starts April 21 and 30 respectively, at 1:00 p.m. local time in each region. All qualifiers will use the Olympic single-elimination system up to the quarterfinal stage. The quarterfinals and all subsequent games will use the Olympic double-elimination system.

The schedule for the first open qualifier is as follows:

Rounds played: Round of 512 to Round of 32

April 22

Tournament start: 3:00 p.m. local time in each region

Rounds played: Round of 32 to semifinals

April 23

Rounds played: until a finalist is decided

The group stage will be held on June 4–7. In it, the ten teams will be split into two groups using a round-robin match system. The two best teams will advance directly to the semifinals, while the 2nd and 3rd places will play in the quarterfinals of the playoff stage, which is due to be held on June 9–11 at the VTB Ice Palace sports arena.
