Details on the EPICENTER Major Open Qualifiers


EPICENTER Major Open Qualifiers to be held May 11-12

Epic Esports Events (a member of ESforce Holding), the organizer of the EPICENTER Major series, has announced the dates for the fifth Major open qualifiers of DPC 2018-2019 season - 11-12 May. The strongest teams from each region will receive a chance to advance to the closed qualifiers to compete for the spot in the tournament’s final stage that will take place June 22-30 in Moscow.

The qualifiers are to be hosted on FACEIT platform. You can register for the open qualifiers via the links below:

Southeastern Asia: qualifier #1, qualifier #2;

South America: qualifier #1, qualifier #2;

North America: qualifier #1, qualifier #2;

The tournament’s closed qualifiers will take place May 15-19. 16 teams from all over the world will participate in EPICENTER Major: 12 participants will be decided via the open and closed qualifiers for Europe (2 slots), CIS (2), China (2), Southeastern Asia (2), North America (2), and South America (2). Three spots will be decided by Valve, and the champion of the previous Minor will be the final participant of the EPICENTER Major.


EPICENTER Major will be the second Major class series hosted in Russia to reach the prize pool of $1 000 000. Hosted in 2018, Moscow’s EPICENTER XL was the pioneer project of Dota 2 Majors in Russia, becoming the second most viewed Dota 2 event in 2018 worldwide and the most viewed Dota 2 event in the world among the series hosted by independent organizers.

Epic Esports Events specializes in organizing international competitions and is the organizer of the EPICENTER series in Dota 2 and CS:GO in Moscow and Saint Petersburg throughout 2016-2018.
